Elizabeth Cowles Johnston

President

Elizabeth specializes in developing strategic media relations and crisis communications campaigns and creating engaging targeted marketing and social media content. With 20+ years honing communications expertise, she has also led countless sessions on promoting messages and regularly hosts media training exercises to help others maximize positive impacts.

 

Previously, Elizabeth was senior associate at The Kotchen Group in West Hartford, CT, and account executive with Sloane & Company, a New York-based public relations firm. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in public relations from the University of Florida.

Emily Sorensen

Emily has contributed media relations expertise to client account teams since joining the agency in 2008. With strong communications skills and a specialization in broadcast media relations, Emily achieves high-impact national and target market media hits for clients.


Previously, Emily was broadcast services team manager at Waggener Edstrom Worldwide and worked at The Kotchen Group. She was also a traffic reporter for Metro Networks and did freelance production work with ESPN. Emily graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast journalism.

Kristie Borges
Senior Associate

Kristie contributes to the team’s expertise in broadcast media relations and manages media and social media campaigns for agency clients at local and national levels.

Prior to joining the team in 2021, Kristie spent 30 years as a television producer working in Boston, Providence, Baltimore and Hartford markets and she maintains a strong network of contacts. Kristie graduated from the University of Hartford with a Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast journalism.
